CBT is the most common treatment approach that is used for anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias and attention deficit disorder. Research has shown that CBT is best used for mild to moderate depression and that for moderate to severe depression CBT + Medication Management is the best treatment method.
In CBT I will teach you basic cognitive techniques to address dysfunctional thought patterns. I will work with you on identifying what has not helped you in the past and where change needs to take place. Once you have learned the basic CBT techniques, I will delve deeper with you to seek to understand the underlying root cause and re-appearing patterns that have been emerging in your life.
